Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Granules India, Sun Pharma, Zydus, and Unichem are recalling products in the US market for various manufacturing issues, according to the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA). The drugmakers are voluntarily recalling affected lots in the American market, the US health regulator said in its latest Enforcement Report. A US-based subsidiary of Mumbai-based Glenmark Pharmaceuticals is recalling 13,824 Azelaic Acid Gel tubes produced at the company’s Goa plant due to “CGMP deviations,” following market complaints about a gritty texture, the USFDA said.

Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd (GPIL) on Saturday said it is conducting an internal inquiry into six deaths “in an incident” at its plant in Chhattisgarh. Four officials and two workers were killed in an accident inside a furnace at a private steel plant in Raipur, Chhattisgarh’s capital, on Friday, while six others, including a general manager, sustained injuries, according to police.

Azad Engineering has entered into a new long-term contract and price agreement with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Japan, valued at $73.47 million (₹651 crore). This deal is incremental to a contract signed on November 3, 2024, bringing the combined value of contracts between the two companies to $156.36 million (₹1,387 crore). The agreement will be executed over five years.

Two promoter group entities of VIP Industries on Friday divested a 6.22% stake in the luggage and travel accessories maker for ₹343 crore through open market transactions. According to bulk deal data available on the BSE, Kiddy Plast Ltd and Piramal Vibhuti Investments sold a total of 88.40 lakh equity shares, representing a 6.22% stake in Mumbai-based VIP Industries. The shares were offloaded in the price range of ₹388–388.25.
PG Electroplast Ltd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary PG Technoplast Pvt Ltd, will set up a manufacturing facility with an investment of about ₹1,000 crore in Sri City, Tirupati. The company has acquired a 50-acre land parcel in Sri City to develop an integrated manufacturing campus.
