ACME Solar secures 50 MW clean energy contract from Tata Power

has secured a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project from distribution arm, marking a significant win in the competitive clean energy sector. The contract, awarded at a tariff of ₹4.43 per unit, was part of a larger 250 MW tender floated by Tata Power-D.

The project emerged from a tariff-based competitive bidding process that concluded with an e-reverse auction on August 13, 2025. Under the agreement, ACME Solar must maintain a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor of 40 per cent and guarantee four hours of peak-hour supply with 90 per cent monthly availability.

The renewable energy project will integrate solar power generation with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) technology to meet the stringent supply requirements over a 25-year power purchase agreement. ACME Solar has 24 months from PPA signing to commission the facility.

ACME Solar Holdings operates as an integrated renewable energy company with a current operational capacity of 2,890 MW across solar, wind, storage, and hybrid solutions. The Gurugram-based company manages end-to-end project development through its in-house engineering, procurement, construction, and operations divisions.

The FDRE model represents a growing segment in India’s renewable energy landscape, combining multiple technologies to provide reliable power supply that can compete with conventional generation sources.

The shares of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd were trading at ₹295.10 up by ₹7.90 or 2.75 per cent on the today at 10.05 am.
