UTI Asset Management Company has elevated its current Chief Investment Officer Vetri Subramaniam as the next Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of UTI AMC with effect from next February.
He will take charge as MD & CEO Designate with immediate effect, said the fund house.
Subramaniam has been associated with UTI AMC since 2017 and took over CIO in 2021. He was instrumental in shaping its investment processes and strategy.
The incumbent MD & CEO Imtaiyazur Rahman will continue as Strategic Advisor till next June to ensure a smooth transition, said UTI AMC.
Rahman has been with UTI since 1998 and was leading the company as MD & CEO since 2018. He led the fund house during its IPO in 2020.
Under his leadership, UTI AMC’s market capitalization tripled to over ₹18,000 crore and its AUM grew seven-fold to ₹21.93 lakh crore in 2025.
He also steered the company through critical phases including Covid pandemic and expanded UTI’s global and pension businesses.
