Benchmark stock market indices opened higher on Tuesday but quicky fell to trade flat despite positive global sentiment and decent Q2 earnings from India Inc.
The S&P BSE Sensex was down by 242.13 points to 83,293.22, while the NSE Nifty50 lost 72.35 points to 25,502.00 as of 9:32 am.
