Tata Steel has acquired about 148.81 crore equity shares in T Steel Holdings Pte. Ltd (TSHP) at $0.1008 each for $150 million (₹1,354.94 crore) on December 19, 2025. The transaction maintains TSHP as a wholly owned foreign subsidiary of Tata Steel. This acquisition is part of a series of fund infusions into TSHP. The company cited regulatory compliance as the reason for disclosure, Tata Steel said in a notice to the exchanges.

Tata Consultancy Services has announced a major AI upgrade to its flagship TCS BaNCS platform. It involves the launch of a new, advanced AI core design to supercharge innovation for banks and security services companies—TCS BaNCS AI Compass.

Tata Chemicals (TCL) informed the exchanges that Tata Chemicals International Pte. Limited (TCIPL), a 100% subsidiary of TCL, will acquire 100% equity shares of Novabay Pte (Novabay), a Singapore-based manufacturer of premium grade sodium bicarbonate. The deal is for €25 million or ₹260 crore.

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has entered into an agreement to sell its entire shareholding of 25.52 per cent in Taj GVK to the GVK-Bhupal family. The move will lead to the transition of IHCL’s joint venture with the GVK-Bhupal family in Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd to a long-term management agreement for its portfolio of hotels. The GVK-Bhupal family will continue to be promoters and will hold 74.99 per cent in the company upon the completion of the transaction, IHCL stated.

Tata Power has launched the Energy Insights & Innovation Lab (EIIL) at its Mumbai-based headquarters. This strategic research initiative is designed to harness cutting-edge research, data and experimentation. It aims to support India’s clean energy transition while improving the quality, reliability, and affordability of electricity services for consumers across India. The EIIL is a collaboration with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and the International Growth Centre (IGC), a global research centre based at LSE.
