Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday to establish vehicle service facilities at select IOCL fuel retail outlets across India.
The partnership will enable Maruti Suzuki customers to access routine maintenance, minor repairs, and major services at IOCL fuel stations, integrating car servicing with refueling stops. The move is designed to leverage Indian Oil’s network of over 41,000 fuel stations nationwide to expand Maruti Suzuki’s after-sales service reach.
The collaboration will add to Maruti Suzuki’s existing service network, which currently comprises over 5,780 service touchpoints across 2,882 cities in India. By bringing authorized service facilities to fuel stations, both companies aim to provide a one-stop solution for car owners.
Ram Suresh Akella, Executive Officer (Service) at Maruti Suzuki, said the partnership with the Maharatna enterprise would take after-sales service to locations frequently visited by customers. He described the collaboration as bringing the mobility and energy sectors together to enhance accessibility and convenience.
Saumitra P. Srivastava, Director (Marketing) at IndianOil, said the company is committed to enhancing customer experience at fuel stations through value-added services. He noted that IndianOil’s extensive retail presence positions it to bring essential services closer to consumers by integrating automotive maintenance with energy offerings.
The companies noted that services offered at each touchpoint may vary, and customers are advised to contact the respective service facility in advance to confirm available services.
The shares of Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited ended on the NSE today at ₹16,605 up by ₹104 or 0.63 per cent and ₹158.45 up by ₹0.84 or 0.53 per cent respectively.
