As per a Ministry of Power (MoP) order, Burra Vamsi Rama Mohan’s term of appointment will be from the date he assumes charge of the post– April 1, 2026- till the date of his superannuation on July 31, 2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, a regulatory filing stated.
Vamsi is not related to any of the Directors or Key Managerial Personnel of the Company and has not been barred from holding the office of Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) by any order of SEBI or any other authority, it added.
With over 33 years of rich and diverse experience in the power transmission and telecom sectors, Vamsi has held several key leadership, policy-making and strategic roles at both regional and corporate level in POWERGRID.
His professional expertise spans a wide range of critical business domains, including Projects, Procurement, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Asset Management, and Telecom.
