has reported a strong 20 per cent growth in its domestic sales for the financial year 2025–26, driven by robust demand across passenger mobility segments and consistent performance in institutional and defence businesses.
The company recorded total domestic wholesales of 36,536 units during FY26, compared to 30,531 units in FY25, reflecting steady expansion in both urban and rural markets. In March 2026 alone, sales stood at 4,126 units, marking a 14 per cent increase over 3,606 units in March 2025.
A major contributor to this growth has been the continued dominance of the company’s flagship van, the Force Traveller, which retains over 70 per cent market share in the light commercial vehicle segment. The model remains widely used across applications such as school transport and ambulance services, underlining strong customer trust.
The company also saw exceptional performance from the Force Urbania, which registered over 100 per cent growth in volumes during the year. The premium van is increasingly being adopted by fleet operators, institutions, and individual buyers, owing to its enhanced comfort, safety features and cost efficiency.
Another key growth driver was the Force Trax platform, which recorded more than 70% growth in volumes. The surge was largely supported by rising demand in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets, aided by improved affordability and better accessibility. Industry observers attribute this trend partly to GST rationalisation, which has made such vehicles more accessible to a wider customer base.
Force Motors also strengthened its presence in the defence sector through its Special Vehicle Division. During the year, the company supplied the first batch of 600 units of the Force Gurkha to the Indian Army. This milestone reinforces the company’s longstanding association with defence forces and its capability to deliver vehicles designed for challenging terrains and specialised applications.
Commenting on the year’s performance, Prasan Firodia, Managing Director- Force Motors Limited said, “Our performance this year reflects the way we are steadily shaping the business—being more focused, disciplined, and aligned to the segments where we know and believe that we can lead”
He added, “ The Force Urbania is setting new benchmarks in premium shared mobility, while the Trax platform is helping improve connectivity across the country. Our Traveller range continues to anchor our presence in the segment, with its market leadership reflecting the deep trust customers place in the brand. At the same time, our continued work with the defence sector reflects the strength of our engineering and our ability to deliver in demanding conditions”.
Firodia added that Force Motors saw steady growth in export business, with overall exports growing by 13 per cent (4-wheelers only).
“Given our strong exports’ presence in Gulf markets, we remain mindful of the evolving geopolitical situation and are closely monitoring the developments” he said.
