Hind Zinc refined metal output up 5% in Q4

Hindustan Zinc recorded 5 per cent increased in refined metal production at 2.82 lakh tonne in the March quarter of FY’26 against 2.70 lakh tonne driven by additional capacity unlocked by the debottlenecking projects at Chanderiya & Dariba, improved operational efficiency and higher plant availability. The company’s zinc production was up six per cent in March quarter at 2.27 lakh tonne against 2.14 lakh tonne logged in same period last year.

However, refined lead production was down two per cent at 55,000 tonne (56,000 tonne). Silver output also dipped marginally to 176 tonne (177 tonne) even as prices remained volatile. Wind power generation dipped 11 per cent to 56 million units (63 MU).

In FY’26, the company’s refined metal production was down marginally at 10.48 lakh tonne (10.52 lakh tonne). While refined zinc production was up 3 per cent at 8.51 lakh tonne (8.27 lt), lead output dipped 13 per cent to 1.7 lt (2.25 lt). Silver production was down 9 per cent at 627 tonne (687 tonne).

Wind power generation increased 7 per cent to 372 MU (348 MU) in the fiscal under review.
