Bosch acquires Chassis systems for ₹9,069 crore to deepen safety, braking play

, the Indian arm of Bosch Group has acquired 100 per cent of Bosch Chassis Systems India Private Limited (BCSI) from Robert Bosch Investment Nederland B.V. and Robert Bosch LLC for ₹9,068.68 crore, through a preferential allotment of equity shares and a cash deal.

The transaction will strengthen Bosch Limited’s capabilities, enabling it to further invest in critical domains like safety and braking, in addition to its strong footprint in power solutions.

Bosch Chassis Systems India Private Limited represents the business of Bosch’s Vehicle Motion division in India and is one of the market leaders in automotive safety systems.

Its offerings include active safety (antilock braking system, electronic stability control, and next-generation braking systems), passive safety (airbag ECU and sensors), and actuation braking systems for passenger cars, two-wheelers, and commercial vehicles.

Commenting on the acquisition, Guruprasad Mudlapur, President of the Bosch Group in India and Managing Director, Bosch Limited, said “Integrating Bosch Chassis Systems India Private Limited, a future-ready vehicle motion solutions business into Bosch Limited reflects our commitment to driving growth through portfolio diversification. This transaction further solidifies our leadership presence within mobility, enabling us to leverage our strengths and deliver solutions backed by local R&D and manufacturing capabilities.”

The shares of the company closed at ₹35,825, up by 7.2 per cent on the BSE.
