Hilton has signed a strategic licensing agreement with Royal Orchid Hotels to add 125 properties under Hampton by Hilton brand by 2035.
This is third such agreement by Hilton in recent months and will help the chain to grow it’s presence in the upper midscale segment in South and West India. Under the deal hotels will be developed under a franchisee model and will be managed by the Royal Orchid Group.
These will primarily be developed in Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. At present there are more than 3,100 Hampton by Hilton properties globally.
“India’s economic growth, expanding middle class and rapid infrastructure development are reshaping the country’s travel landscape, creating significant opportunities for our brands,” said Alan Watts, Hilton’s president for Asia Pacific region.
Hilton has signed a similar franchising agreement for the Hampton by Hilton brand with Nile Hospitality and the first hotel is set to open at Amritsar this year.
