Pepperfry opens first factory outlet in Pune, expands offline footprint

Pepperfry has launched its first factory outlet in India in Pune, marking its sixth offline store in the city and strengthening its presence in one of its fastest-growing markets.

The newly opened outlet has been conceptualised as a sofa and living room lounge, offering customers an immersive shopping experience. The store features a wide range of sofas across multiple configurations, with a focus on comfort, design and functionality. Customers can directly experience fabrics, upholstery and materials, helping them make more informed purchase decisions.

The outlet also provides customisation options, allowing buyers to tailor sofas to suit their individual preferences and living spaces.

According to the company, the factory outlet format is aimed at bringing customers closer to a broader product assortment while enhancing value and accessibility.

The latest launch underlines the company’s continued investment in the region and its focus on improving customer experience.

The expansion is also aligned with Pepperfry’s omnichannel strategy, which integrates its physical retail network with its digital platform to offer customers greater convenience, wider choice and a seamless shopping experience.

Commenting on the launch, Ashish Shah, Founder and CEO of Pepperfry, said “Pune has been one of our strongest growth markets, and we are excited to introduce our first factory outlet in India with this launch. This is just the beginning — we are aggressively expanding our footprint across geographies to bring Pepperfry closer to our customers. With this new format, we aim to create a more immersive buying experience, where customers can engage with our products — from comfort to fabric and customization — before making a decision.”
