Visa’s likely to appoint Suresh Sethi as India head

Mumbai: is set to appoint Suresh Sethi, most recently chief executive of , as the US-headquartered payment card services company’s next country head for India, said two people familiar with the development.

Sethi, who resigned from Protean eGov Technologies last month, succeeds Sandeep Ghosh, who quit Visa after more than four years to pursue an external opportunity.

Visa India did not respond to ET’s queries.

ET reported on April 8 that Ghosh had communicated his decision to leave well in advance, allowing the company to manage an orderly transition and identify a successor before his departure was made public.

The leadership change comes as Visa sharpens its focus on digital payments and expands partnerships across the region.
