FinMin asks banks to take measures for welfare of persons with disabilities

New Delhi: The Department of Financial Services (DFS) has advised the managements of all , insurance companies and other to provide reservations to persons with benchmark disabilities in direct recruitment and promotion in line with government instructions.

Besides, all public sector financial institutions have been advised to convene periodic meetings with the to ensure that their views are heard and grievances resolved in a timely manner, the said in a statement on Wednesday.

It also asked them to appoint a (CLO)/ Liaison Officer (LO) to ensure that instructions/orders issued by the central government with regard to , including for PwDs, are implemented by them in letter and spirit, it said.
