SCCL gets environmental nod for Ramagundam Coal Mine Project

The Ramagundam Coal Mine Project of Singareni Collieries Company (SCCL) has received all necessary clearances from the centre.

The Hyderabad- based company has received information about primary environmental, forest and climatic clearances and the formal documents in the regard are expected to be received shortly, according to a release. 

The project aims to produce 210 lakh tonnes of coal annually. 

It envisages utilisation of already approved two open cast mines, three underground mines and mining of 315 million tonnes coal.

The coal produced from the project will be suppled to NTPC and other coal-based industries in the region, the release said.
