Zydus Wellness FY26 profit halves to ₹197 cr despite 46% revenue growth

Consumer wellness major Zydus Wellness Limited — that owns brands like Sugar Free and Glucon-D — reported a sharp decline in profitability in FY26, with consolidated net profit falling 47 percent year-on-year to ₹197 crore, even as revenue grew strongly on the back of portfolio expansion and acquisitions.

For the fourth quarter, consolidated net profit declined nearly 6 percent year-on-year to ₹162 crore, while consolidated revenue surged 62.1 percent to around ₹1,476 crore. For the full year, net sales rose 46.4 percent to ₹3,940 crore, but the strong topline growth did not translate into earnings, with profitability sharply impacted by integration and cost pressures.

The board has recommended a final dividend of ₹1.20 per equity share of face value ₹2, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM scheduled for August 4. On the operating front, EBITDA rose 34.2 percent year-on-year to ₹509 crore, supported by contributions from newly acquired businesses.

Brand-wise, the company stated, Sugar Free continued to dominate the sugar substitute category with a 96.1 percent market share, while expanding into adjacent categories with new launches such as Sugar Free D’lite Choco Spread. Protein snacking brand RiteBite Max Protein continued to scale, improving profitability to near double-digit EBITDA margins, driven by new product launches including protein drinks and functional snack bars.

Hydration brand Glucon-D retained leadership with a 58.9 percent market share and expanded into performance hydration formats. In skincare, Everyuth maintained strong positions across scrubs and peel-off masks, while Nycil continued to lead the prickly heat powder segment. The company’s nutraceutical and wellness portfolio, including Nutralite and Complan, continued to show steady momentum, even as overall earnings were weighed down by cost pressures and integration-related expenses.
