The 8th Pay Commission has announced that it will visit Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on July 6 and 7, 2026, as part of its ongoing nationwide consultations with central government organisations, institutions, unions and employee associations.
In an official notice issued on May 26, the Commission said stakeholders interested in interacting with the panel during the Bhubaneswar visit can submit requests seeking appointments on or before June 15, 2026.
The notice stated that organisations and unions must submit their requests along with a “unique Memo ID” generated after filing their memorandum before the Commission.
The latest development comes as the across different parts of the country to gather feedback and demands from employee representatives and pensioner bodies.
The Commission has already held meetings in Delhi and announced visits to several other cities in recent weeks, including Lucknow, Hyderabad, Srinagar, Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir.
According to the notice, stakeholders can submit memorandums through the official website. The last date for submission of memorandums is May 31, 2026.
“Venue details and meeting schedule shall be intimated separately,” the notice said.
The Commission also clarified that separate meetings for other states and Union Territories will be held in due course.
The 8th Pay Commission was constituted to review salaries, pensions and allowances of central government employees and pensioners.
