Bank holidays June 2026: Full list of dates & closures

branches across India will observe several closures throughout June 2026, with the holiday schedule varying significantly from state to state based on regional festivals, local observances, and government notifications.

The issues the official calendar, and with scheduled holidays this month — including second and fourth Saturdays and all Sundays — customers are advised to plan branch visits, cheque submissions, and cash requirements well in advance.

Digital banking services including UPI, net banking, and mobile apps, along with ATM access, will remain unaffected on all holidays.

Customers in Mizoram should note they face the highest number of closures this month, with YMA Day on June 15 and Remna Ni on June 30 adding two additional shutdowns on top of the standard Saturday closures.

Residents of Punjab will see branches closed on June 18 for Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji’s Martyrdom Day, while those in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan will observe a closure on June 17 for Maharana Pratap Jayanti.

It is worth noting that June 6 falls on a Saturday but banks will remain open, as only the second and fourth Saturdays are designated holidays under RBI rules. For time-sensitive transactions, using NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, or UPI is recommended to avoid delays — these services operate round the clock, including on all gazetted holidays.
