Buzzing stocks: Automobile, textile stocks, Petroleum exporters, AWL Agri, Cyient, NCC

Automobile stocks such as Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motor India, Ashok Leyland, Eicher Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Escorts, TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Hero Moto Corp, Ather Energy, Ola Electric, and others will remain in focus as they announce May sales figures from today. Analysts tracking the Vahan portal (registration portal) expect robust sales figures from automobile companies.

Shares of textile and apparel stocks such as Vardhman Textiles, Arvind Ltd, Ambika Cotton Mills, KPR Mills, Page Industries, Indo Count Industries, Kiltex Garments and others will remain in focus as the Ministry of Finance has suspended the import duty on cotton from June 1 to October 31, giving the much-sought relief for the textile industry. In a notification issued on May 30, the Ministry said the 11 % duty will not be levied from June 1.

Export Levy cut

The Central government has revised export levies on petrol, diesel and aviation turbine fuel (ATF) for the fortnight beginning June 1. The duty has been set at ₹1.5 per litre on petrol exports, ₹13.5 per litre on diesel exports and ₹9.5 per litre on ATF exports, as per an official notification. The special additional excise duty (SAED) on petrol at Rs 3 per litre was imposed on May 16. The duty on export of diesel has been reduced from Rs 16.5 per litre, and for ATF from Rs 16 per litre. Reliance Industries, ONGC, Chennai Petroleum Corporation, MRPL and Indian Oil.

Global pharma major Lupin Limited (Lupin) announced that it has received approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Abbreviated New Drug Application for sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, and potassium chloride tablets, 1.479 g/0.225 g/0.188 g. Sodium sulfate, magnesium sulfate, and potassium chloride tablets (RLD Sutab) had an estimated annual sale of USD 132.8 million in the US (IQVIA MAT March 2026).

Wockhardt has secured US FDA approval for Zaynich (cefepime and zidebactam) for the treatment of complicated urinary tract infections. Phase 3 trials showed an efficacy rate of 89% compared to 68.4% for meropenem. This is the first New Chemical Entity fully developed by an Indian pharma company to receive FDA approval, Wockhardt said in a statement to the exchanges.

AWL Agro & Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd tie-up

AWL Agri Business Ltd, one of the largest Food FMCG companies in India, has announced a strategic arrangement with Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd to further strengthen market reach and accelerate growth in the packaged foods business. Under the arrangement, SRSL will license its flagship brand “Madhur” to AWL, enabling AWL to leverage its extensive pan-India distribution, marketing capabilities, and scale in the packaged food business. AWL will undertake the sales, marketing and distribution of the refined sugar under the “Madhur” brand.



Cyient has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Tao Digital Solutions Inc., an AI-native data and product engineering solutions firm headquartered in Santa Clara, California, at an enterprise value of $218 million. The transaction is expected to close by Q2 FY27.

Major orders

NCC Ltd has received orders worth Rs. 1,837.01 Crore (excl. GST) in May. Of these orders received, Rs. 1,289.17 Crore pertains to the Water Division, Rs. 261.42 crore to the Buildings Division and Rs. 286.42 Crore to the Electrical Division of the Company.

PNC Infratech Ltd has secured the L1 bid worth Rs 302.4 crore for the Pantnagar Airport EPC project from the Airports Authority of India. The 24-month contract includes comprehensive city-side and airside development works.

Refex Industries has procured Rs 36.91-crore order for excavation, loading, and Transportation of pond ash to Open Cast Mines / Stone Quarries / NHAI project sites.

Siyaram Recycling Industries Ltd has secured an order from Anurag Impex for brass scrap honey for about Rs 1.97 crore.

Solar Industries India Ltd and its subsidiary have received export orders worth Rs 1,076 crore for the supply of Defence Products, to be delivered over a period of 3 years.

Sai Parenterals Ltd has received a Purchase order from PILL CORP, Bulacan, Philippines, valued at $11 million (Rs. 104.50 crore).

Jindal Steel Ltd has awarded a Letter of Intent for the design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of an advanced Yard Safety Management & Automation System (Le, Torpedo & Loco Tracking System) for an amount of Rs. 15.90 crore (Excl. GST).

Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW) has issued a Letter of Acceptance to HBL Engineering Limited (Formerly HBL Power Systems Limited) for the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of On-board KAVACH Loco equipment (Ver. 4.0) worth Rs. 1,714 Crores (Excluding 18% GST).
