Annapurna Yojana goes live today: How to check If your ₹3,000 payment has been credited

West Bengal Chief Minister will on Wednesday inaugurate the state government’s Annapurna Yojana, under which women beneficiaries will receive financial assistance every month.

“The chief minister will inaugurate around 12.30 pm,” the an official said.

Beneficiaries will join the programme virtually from venues set up at block, municipal and Kolkata Municipal Corporation levels. Official said that 100 beneficiaries from each block, municipality and the KMC area will receive their sanction letters on the day.

They would be identified by sub-divisional officers (SDOs) and block development officers (BDOs), with final approval from the district magistrates or the Kolkata Municipal Corporation commissioner.

MLAs will also be present at the programme venues in their respective areas.

How much money beneficiaries will receive?

Beneficiaries will receive 3,000 every month as financial assistance.



Annapurna Yojana, one of the key poll promises of the BJP in this year’s West Bengal assembly elections, will replace the previous TMC government’s ‘Lakshmir Bhandar’ scheme, under which beneficiaries received a maximum of 1,500 per month.

How to check credit status:

To check your Annapurna Bhandar (formerly Lakshmir Bhandar) credit status, log in to the state’s Social Security Portal and select “Track Applicant Status” using your Application ID, Aadhaar number, or registered mobile number.

You can also verify direct credits in your Aadhaar-linked bank account.

Who can apply?

  • Women, aged between 25 and 60 years,
  • not permanent government employees receiving salaries or pensions
  • not paying income tax

How to apply for the scheme?

The government has released a 12 page form, it needs to be filled by the appicant at verified by officials before enrolment

The chief minister earlier informed said, “This process will continue for 90 days starting June 1. The work will be carried out across every municipality through both online and offline modes. It will be conducted ward by ward, with MLAs also extending their cooperation. Beneficiaries will receive funds under the Annapurna Yojana only after completing the enrolment process.”

Unable to fill up form: here’s what to do?

Shuvendu Adhikari also said, “Those who are unable to fill out the form either online or offline need not worry. The BJP will organise public welfare camps in different areas on June 15, 16 and 17 to assist people. Anyone who is still unable to complete the process will be provided help there.”
