Hoola health raises $5 million in new funding round

Hoola Health, formerly known as BabyMD, has raised $5 million in a new funding round. The investment was led by Peak XV’s Surge, with additional participation from existing investor W Health Ventures, which doubled down on its commitment to the company. A group of angel investors also contributed to the round, including Ashish Gupta, Abhishek Goyal, and Bijou Kurien, alongside other individual investors.

The company plans to utilise the capital to expand its physical footprint from 5 to 35 neighbourhood clinics over the next two years, targeting deeper penetration in Bengaluru before entering Hyderabad and Delhi NCR. Additionally, the funds will support the expansion into new medical segments like paediatric dental care, the reinforcement of technology infrastructure, and the development of digital support systems. These digital tools will manage longitudinal health records, digital vaccination tracking, and developmental progress monitoring to provide a continuous care ecosystem for families.

Commenting on the fundraise, Deeksha Senguttuvan, Founder of Hoola Health, said, “Paediatric care in India has been fragmented for too long – parents struggling to find clinics they can trust, and doctors without the infrastructure to deliver the care they’re trained to give. For everyday needs like vaccinations and consultations, parents don’t want to navigate a hospital – they want a capable clinic close to home, one that earns their trust and feels genuinely warm. This fundraise lets us do that at scale.”

Founded in 2024 by Deeksha Senguttuvan, Hoola Health is a Bengaluru-based paediatric healthcare platform. The company integrates physical consultations, vaccinations, developmental therapies, and diagnostics with online support systems. Operating seven days a week, the network currently includes locations across Bengaluru in Bellandur, Electronic City, HSR Layout, Kasavanahalli Road, Varthur, and Yelahanka, having served over 20,000 families within its first 18 months of operations.
