Hilton launches Spark brand in Asia Pacific with two India openings

Hotel chain player Hilton has launched its premium economy brand, Spark by Hilton, in the Asia Pacific region with the opening of its first two Indian properties in Bengaluru and Goa. The openings are part of a major strategic agreement with Olive Hospitality to roll out 150 Spark by Hilton hotels across India over the next few years.

As part of this launch, Zubin Saxena, senior vice president and regional head, South Asia, Hilton, noted, “The modern Indian traveler is evolving rapidly, with guests increasingly seeking branded stays that deliver quality, convenience and consistency. Spark by Hilton addresses that need directly- introducing a product that resonates strongly with today’s practical traveller”. Supporting this, Andrew Ling, regional head, focused service and all-suites brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton, stated, “Spark by Hilton was created around a simple belief: travellers should not have to compromise between value and a quality stay- offering a dependable, high-quality experience at an attainable price point”. Kahraman Yigit, co-founder and CEO, Olive Hospitality, also emphasised, “We believe Spark by Hilton has the potential to redefine what value-driven hospitality looks like in India. What makes the brand especially relevant for this region is its ability to scale efficiently through conversions, ensuring guests benefit from Hilton’s global standards”.

The debut features two locations tailored to regional corporate and leisure demand. The Spark by Hilton Bengaluru Marathahalli Outer Ring Road is an 82-key hotel located in a technology hub to capture corporate and MICE demand, while the Spark by Hilton Goa Calangute is a 64-key hotel positioned in a leisure destination catering to vacationers, groups, and corporate offsites. To better suit Indian consumer expectations, the properties feature localized adjustments including self-serve chai carts, automated vending machines for essentials, and complimentary breakfast featuring signature DIY dosa stations. The hotels also integrate technology features like digital check-in and Digital Keys through the Hilton Honors app.

First launched in 2023, Spark by Hilton is one of Hilton’s fastest-growing global brands, targeting middle-class travellers seeking consistency and affordability. It currently boasts over 240 operating hotels and nearly 230 properties in development across the US, UK, and Canada. Following these inaugural openings, Hilton and Olive Hospitality plan to rapidly scale the brand into other major business and leisure corridors across India, with additional properties expected to open in Jaipur, Nashik, Mathura, Pune, Rajkot, and Hyderabad in the coming years.
