, an arm of , completed the previously announced acquisition of Lannett Company, Inc., USA from Lannett Seller Holdco, Inc.
On June 18, 2026, Aurobindo received approval from the US Federal Trade Commission for the acquisition.
Effective June 29, 2026, Lannett has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of APUSA and will operate as Lannett Company LLC.
“The integration process will commence immediately, with a strong emphasis on ensuring uninterrupted access to critical medications, maintaining trusted relationships with partners, and supporting employees throughout the transition,” Hyderabad-based Aurobindo said on Tuesday.
“By combining capabilities and resources, the organisation aims to enhance the availability of essential medicines and deliver sustained, long-term value to patients, customers, and stakeholders,” it added.
APUSA also welcomed more than 400 Lannett employees to its organisation, further strengthening its talent base and operational capabilities, the release said.
Last year, Aurobindo announced plans to acquire the US-based Lannett in a $250-million deal. Lannett is a manufacturer and supplier of superior quality, complex generic pharmaceuticals, including DEA controlled substances since 1942, and successfully launched generic liquid and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) treatments.
It has a 425k sq ft large cGMP manufacturing facility, located in Seymour, Indiana, USA, capable of manufacturing multiple dosage forms including tablets, capsules, powders and liquids with an annual capacity of about 3.6bn tablets.
