Membrane Group India, a leading provider of advanced process water and wastewater treatment solutions, has entered into joint venture with Japan-based Kurita Water Industries, a global leader in water treatment technologies and solutions.
With a significant capital commitment from both companies, the new venture under newly formed company Kurita Membrane India aims to emerge as the trusted water treatment solutions provider for the rapidly growing semiconductor and advanced electronics manufacturing sectors in India.
The joint venture combines Kurita’s globally proven technologies and expertise in water treatment, particularly in semiconductor industry, with Membrane Group’s engineering, manufacturing and project execution capabilities in India.
Peeyush Narang, Managing Director, Membrane Group India, said the joint venture company’s vision is to ensure that India’s semiconductor industry has access to world-class ultrapure water, wastewater recycling and sustainable water management solutions.

Kurita Membrane India will offer a comprehensive portfolio of advanced water and wastewater treatment solutions, including Ultrapure Water systems for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing, industrial water and wastewater treatment systems, wastewater reclamation and reuse solutions for the semiconductor industry, resource recovery, zero liquid discharge solutions, water analysis and laboratory services, as well as end-to-end technical support encompassing engineering, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance services. The company will also operate a modern Ultrapure Water Analysis Centre, supporting customers through advanced water quality testing, process optimisation and technical services.
India’s semiconductor industry is entering a phase of rapid expansion, supported by significant government initiatives and increasing investments from domestic and international manufacturers.
