OneSource Specialty Pharma ties up with Germany’s Formycon for Biosimilar manufacturing

OneSource Specialty Pharma Limited announced a strategic manufacturing partnership with Formycon AG, a Munich-based independent biosimilar developer, today.

Under the agreement, OneSource will provide integrated Drug Substance and Drug Product manufacturing for Formycon’s biosimilar programs from its biologics facility in Bangalore. The partnership covers end-to-end biologics manufacturing, spanning cell line development through commercial fill-finish.

Formycon, listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, currently has three biosimilars on the market – ranibizumab, ustekinumab, and aflibercept, and four pipeline candidates in development, including pembrolizumab and dupilumab biosimilars. OneSource operates five manufacturing facilities approved by the US FDA and the European Medicines Agency.

Neeraj Sharma, Managing Director and CEO of OneSource, said the partnership reinforces India’s positioning as a global hub for biologics manufacturing. Formycon CEO Dr. Stefan Glombitza said the tie-up aligns with the company’s FYB4Growth strategy, which prioritises reliable and cost-efficient manufacturing supply.
