Mumbai-based investment platform Aurrevia has launched a Category III Alternative Investment Fund anchored by a $10 million commitment from the Kothari Family Office through Aarii Ventures, the firm announced today.
The fund pursues an actively managed public equities strategy built around Aurrevia’s proprietary TechnoValue investing framework, which combines fundamental research with momentum-based portfolio management across market capitalisations and sectors.
The approach integrates what the firm calls Deep Value and Momentum strategies, with an explicit focus on risk-adjusted returns.
The fund includes a negative screening policy, excluding companies with exposure to tobacco, liquor, gambling, meat, and leather sectors.
Aurrevia was co-founded by Sagar Nishar, who previously served as Chief Investment Officer at the Kothari Family Office and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia 2026 list for Finance and Venture Capital, and Suyog Dhavan, founder of StrategicAlpha and architect of the TechnoValue framework.
The launch comes as India’s AIF industry continues to expand. Cumulative commitments across AIFs had crossed ₹16.9 lakh crore as of March 2026, with Category III funds accounting for over ₹3.14 lakh crore.
The fund targets sophisticated investors and positions itself around capital preservation, long-term compounding, and process-driven portfolio construction within a governance-focused investment mandate.
