Shares of closed down 1.62 per cent at ₹360.70 on Thursday, giving up early gains despite the company reporting its strongest quarterly results to date. The stock traded between ₹347.80 and ₹366.80 during the session, with volumes of 59.22 lakh shares worth ₹211.94 crore changing hands on NSE.
The decline came a day after the company filed its Q1 FY27 investor presentation with exchanges. The stock had hit a 52-week high of ₹398.65 as recently as July 14, and is now trading about 9.5 per cent below that peak. Year-to-date, however, the stock remains up 51.85 per cent, sharply outperforming the Nifty 500, which is down 2.33 per cent over the same period.
For the April-June quarter, ACME Solar posted consolidated revenue of ₹954 crore, up 63.3 per cent year-on-year, while EBITDA rose 56.5 per cent to ₹831 crore. Profit after tax came in at ₹235 crore, a near 80 per cent jump over Q1 FY26. The company also recorded its highest-ever quarterly Capacity Utilisation Factor at 30.9 per cent.
Beyond the financials, two developments merit attention. On battery storage, ACME commissioned approximately 2.3 GWh of BESS capacity during the quarter, taking cumulative commissioned capacity to 3.62 GWh. The company has now revised its FY27 BESS commissioning guidance upward to a cumulative 10-plus GWh, with short-term contracts already locking in over ₹1,400 crore in BESS revenue for the year.
On the project pipeline, ACME signed 600 MW of fresh PPAs with SECI during the quarter, pushing its total under-construction PPA-signed capacity to 3,880 MW. The company’s long-term target remains 10 GW of generation capacity and 25 GWh of BESS by 2030.
The stock’s current P/E stands at 43.02. Total market capitalisation is ₹25,528.77 crore.
