LT Foods shares jump 4% on strong Q1 results; stock outperforms market

closed sharply higher on the NSE on Friday after the company reported a 26 per cent jump in consolidated revenue for the first of FY27, with the stock ending the session as one of the stronger performers in the consumer foods space.

The stock closed at ₹410.35 on the , up ₹13.25 or 3.34 per cent from its previous close of ₹397.10. Intraday, the scrip touched a high of ₹416.80 before paring some gains. Traded volume stood at 24.05 lakh shares, with a traded value of ₹98.34 crore. The volume-weighted average price for the session was ₹408.88.

At the closing price, LT Foods carried a total market capitalisation of ₹14,338 crore, up sharply from the ₹12,762 crore reported in the investor presentation as of June 30, reflecting the day’s rally. The symbol P/E stands at 21.56.

The stock’s one-week return of 9.93 per cent and one-month return of 12.51 per cent significantly outpaced the Nifty 500’s 2.39 per cent and 2.02 per cent gains over the same periods. Year-to-date, the stock is up 6.94 per cent against the index’s decline of 1.88 per cent.

The results showed consolidated revenue rising to ₹3,161 crore from ₹2,501 crore a year ago. Profit after tax grew 9 per cent to ₹183 crore. The Basmati and Specialty Rice segment, which accounts for 90 per cent of revenue, posted 34 per cent growth. North America grew 49 per cent year-on-year.

Despite Friday’s gains, the stock remains well below its 52-week high of ₹507.80 hit on July 30, 2025, and is down 15.12 per cent over the past year. The 52-week low was ₹333.15, recorded in January 2026. Deliverable quantity stood at 30.02 per cent of traded volume, suggesting a mix of short-term and positional interest. Daily volatility was recorded at 2.55 per cent, with annualised volatility at 48.72 per cent.
