RBI intervenes to arrest rupee decline amid an oil spike, Fed rate worries, traders say

​The Reserve ‌Bank of India
intervened ​to ⁠contain the rupee’s losses ‌on Monday, three
traders ‌said, ‌with ⁠the currency ⁠coming under pressure from ​an
oil ‌spike, rising bets on a Federal ‌Reserve rate ​hike and a
broader ⁠deterioration in risk ‌appetite.

The rupee recovered to 95.41 to the ‌dollar after
opening at ​95.49. It had ⁠settled at ⁠95.3775 on Friday.
