Nissan Motor India August wholesales decline 2% to 9,350 units

Nissan Motor India Pvt Ltd on Tuesday reported a marginal 2 per cent year-on-year decline in total wholesales in August to 9,350 units.

The automaker’s total wholesales in the month under review comprised 3,426 units in the domestic market and 5,924 units in exports.

The company had posted total wholesales of 9,541 units in August last year.

Nissan Motor India’s domestic wholesales recorded a 147.5 per cent YoY growth at 3,426 units in August, compared to 1,384 units in the corresponding month a year ago.

“The company’s domestic wholesale performance was underpinned by sustained demand for the Magnite and Gravite, along with a strong market response to the all-new Nissan Tekton, resulting in a 147 per cent year-on-year increase,” it stated.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, said, “As we expand Tekton’s presence across domestic and international markets, we remain focused on delivering innovative products, a differentiated customer experience and sustainable growth for the business.”
