Kotak Alternate Asset Managers Limited has appointed Pushkar Jauhari as Chief Executive Officer of its Private Equity and Venture Capital platform, the -based firm announced on September 3, 2026. Jauhari will oversee investment strategy, fundraising, new investments, portfolio management and exits for the platform.
Jauhari brings nearly 25 years of experience across private equity, venture capital and public markets in India and Europe. Over his career, he has been involved in more than 25 private equity, M&A and public equity investments totalling over USD 900 million, and has held more than 10 board positions.
Most recently, Jauhari was instrumental in building ValueQuest’s private equity business into a multi-fund franchise, growing its assets under management considerably. Before that, he held investment and leadership roles at Oman India Joint Investment Fund, Khazanah Nasional and TVS Capital Funds. He also worked earlier with Fidelity Investments International and McKinsey & Company.
Srini Sriniwasan, Managing Director of Kotak Alts, said Jauhari’s track record across every stage of investing would be valuable as the firm grows the platform. Jauhari, in turn, said he looks forward to working with portfolio companies to support their growth and create value for investors.
