Legal company Lexlegis.ai has appointed Mahendra Chaturvedi as Senior Vice President – Sales.
He joins from LexisNexis, where he was Director – Sales from April 2018. He brings thirty years of experience in the Indian legal information and publishing sector.
He began his career in the sector at LexisNexis in August 2003 as Regional Manager – Sales (India), a position he held until September 2006. He then spent over a decade at Thomson Reuters, joining as Assistant Sales Manager in November 2006 and progressing through the roles of National Sales Manager and Senior Sales Manager before being appointed Assistant Vice President – Sales in March 2013.
He joined Newgen KnowledgeWorks in April 2017, where he served as Assistant Vice President – Sales for a year, before returning to LexisNexis in April 2018.
Responsibilities
In his new role, Chaturvedi will lead the company’s sales function and customer engagement across segments including law firms, in-house legal teams, professional services firms and institutional users. He will also be responsible for building out the field sales organisation as the company expands its enterprise business.
Saakar Yadav, Founder and Managing Director, Lexlegis.ai, stated that as the company moves from a research platform towards a broader legal operating layer, Chaturvedi’s perspective will guide the customer side of the business.
Chaturvedi said Lexlegis.ai business was built on Indian law from the ground up rather than adapted to it and that every answer can be traced to a source.
