HUL shares hit 52-week low as it observes Capital Markets Day

Shares of are among the closely watched stocks on Dalal Street on Friday, trading at ₹1,980.10 as of 11.57 AM, up ₹18.10 or 0.92 per cent from Thursday’s close of ₹1,962, even as the stock touched a fresh 52-week low of ₹1,950.40 earlier in the session, before recovering. The day’s high stands at ₹1,984.20, with the opening at ₹1,967.

HUL held its Capital Markets Day 2026, where Managing Director and CEO Priya Nair outlined the company’s strategy under the theme ‘Winning in New India.’

HUL reported an annual turnover of ₹63,763 crore for FY2026, with an EBITDA margin of 23.6 per cent and operating cash flow of approximately ₹11,000 crore. The company’s return on capital employed stands at 110.9 per cent, with reserves of ₹48,988 crore. The total market capitalisation as of Friday morning is ₹4,65,242.57 crore, with a free float market cap of ₹1,75,180.11 crore.

The company acknowledged that revenue growth has been muted over the past two years. Underlying sales growth improved sequentially, from 3 per cent in the first half of FY2026 to 5 per cent in the December quarter, 7 per cent in the March quarter, and 10 per cent in the June quarter of FY2026, signalling a recovery trajectory. HUL’s four segments, Home Care (₹23,672 crore), Beauty & Wellbeing (₹14,990 crore), Foods (₹14,061 crore), and Personal Care (₹9,564 crore), together form the revenue base. Beauty & Wellbeing carries a segment EBIT margin of 28 per cent.

The Capital Markets Day presentation outlined a growth framework centred on consumption expansion, premiumisation, market-making in underpenetrated categories, and entry into select new spaces such as male grooming, masstige skincare, protein, and ready-to-drink beverages. HUL’s portfolio now includes 21 brands, each with more than ₹1,000 crore in annual turnover, and its products reach over 9 million retail outlets.



On the market data front, the stock’s 52-week high was ₹2,750, recorded exactly a year ago on 4 September 2025, underscoring a 28 per cent decline over one year. Year-to-date, the stock has fallen 14.76 per cent, against a Nifty 50 decline of 8.27 per cent in the same period. The symbol P/E ratio stands at 30.79.

The total traded volume by mid-morning was 5.58 lakh shares, with a traded value of ₹109.89 crore. Buy orders accounted for 55.11 per cent of the total quantity, against 44.89 per cent on the sell side, with 60.14 per cent of traded quantity marked for delivery, suggesting a meaningful portion of Friday’s activity is positional rather than purely intraday.
