, the maker of Mamaearth and other personal care brands, on Tuesday appointed Nishchay Bahl as Chief Business Officer – Offline, tasking him with scaling the company’s brick-and-mortar business across General Trade, Modern Trade and other channels.
Bahl, who spent nearly three years at Honasa as Senior Vice-President – Offline Revenue, moves into the CBO role with a mandate to expand distribution and deepen the company’s brand presence across markets and categories. He was also a key figure in Project Neev, an internal initiative aimed at strengthening General Trade operations through sharper market execution and tighter partner engagement.
Before joining Honasa, Bahl held the Chief Business Officer – Offline position at The Good Glamm Group and served as E-commerce Director for South Asia at Reckitt. He has also worked with Britannia Industries. An alumnus of the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, he brings over 17 years of FMCG experience spanning sales, channel strategy and go-to-market execution.
CEO and Co-founder Varun Alagh called the appointment an example of internal talent development, noting Bahl’s role in building the partnerships and distribution capabilities needed for the company’s next growth phase.
The announcement comes as Honasa’s stock closed at ₹476.05 on NSE on Tuesday, up 1.52 per cent for the day, with a market capitalisation of approximately ₹15,493 crore. The stock has gained over 67 per cent year-to-date and nearly 58 per cent over the past year, though it trades at an elevated P/E of 61.32, above 50 for four consecutive trailing quarters, reflecting investor expectations of continued earnings growth.
Honasa describes itself as India’s largest digital-first beauty and personal care company with a portfolio of seven brands.
