The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Enforcement Directorate will expand their established base in Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) region of Mumbai.
Speaking at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, Kaustubh Tause, Secretary and Chief Advisor to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said the markets regulator in particular will set up completely new infrastructure, spread over 16,000 meters. Meanwhile, NSE has taken two additional plots in BKC, strengthening operations and further reinforcing Mumbai as the financial capital of the country.
“BKC, by its sheer influence and ability to host world-class institutions, contributes close to over 3 per cent of India’s GDP. To further strengthen this, three of India’s finest institutions, who are going to play a very important role in this [finance] industry, have recently taken positions of further expanding BKC,” said Tause.
KVR Murty, whole-time Director, Manoj Kumar Executive Director and Surya Kumar, Chief General Manager, and Kishore Nikam, Deputy General Manager from SEBI received the LOI from Dr. Sanjay Mukherjee, Commissioner, MMRDA. Similarly, Mayank Pandey, Additional Director, and Nishan Neeraj, Deputy Director, Enforcement Directorate, Government of India accepted the LOI on behalf of the ED. Ashish Kumar Chohan MD and CEO, Shharad Dhakkate Non-Executive Director and others were present on behalf of NSE.
