Bharat Forge Ltd. and Pratt & Whitney Canada have announced that they will work together to evaluate the integration of advanced turboprop engines into a high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) program designed and developed by India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). Pratt & Whitney is an RTX business. The collaboration supports India’s indigenous unmanned aerial systems efforts under the government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Pratt & Whitney Canada will evaluate engine compatibility, performance and installation requirements. Bharat Forge will lead engine-airframe integration, including installation design and systems interfaces, drawing on its advanced engineering, manufacturing and aerospace systems capabilities.
Titagarh Rail Systems (TRSL) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) have executed the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) for establishing a Joint Venture Company (JV Company) with shareholding in equal proportion i.e. 50 per cent each to undertake maintenance of 80 Vande Bharat Trainsets under the Indian Railways project for ‘Manufacturing cum Maintenance of 80 Vande Bharat Trainsets including Upgradation of Government Manufacturing Units & Trainset Depots and Comprehensive Maintenance for 35 years’. The rights, responsibilities and governance arrangements of TRSL and BHEL shall be governed by the terms and conditions of the JVA. The Joint Venture will combine the complementary capabilities and railway-sector expertise of TRSL and BHEL and provide TRSL an opportunity to establish a long-term presence in the maintenance and lifecycle-support segment of the railway industry.
Cochin Shipyard has executed the joint venture agreement with Drydocks World Dubai – FZCO (DDW), a DP World Company. Earlier, the Board of Directors of the company at its meeting held September 09, 2026 had approved the proposal for forming the said joint venture. The joint venture will be formed as a private limited company (JVCo.). The JVCo. will own, operate and manage the International Ship Repair Facility (ISRF) of the company at Willingdon Island, Kochi for undertaking dry-docking, maintenance, repair and overhaul of commercial and naval vessels below 130 meters of length and 6,000-tonne weight. Further, the joint venture also envisages capacity augmentation of the ISRF through the addition of ten workstations.

With this, Thermax Botswana Proprietary has become a wholly owned subsidiary of TECC and a wholly owned step-down subsidiary of the company.
Air-conditioning and refrigeration systems maker Blue Star Ltd on Tuesday said its Oman-based joint venture partner W J Towell & Co LLC (WJT) has approached the Dubai Court of Appeal seeking annulment of an arbitration award that dismissed all claims against Blue Star. An arbitration tribunal, in July this year, rejected claims worth Rs 223.6 crore made by WJT, with which Blue Star had entered into a shareholders’ agreement in October 2015 for managing the affairs of Blue Star Oman Electro Mechanical Company.
Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd has secured a key manufacturing licence from the Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Telangana, Hyderabad. The regulatory approval permits Allied Blenders and Distillers to manufacture potable malt spirits at its manufacturing facility situated in Rangapur Village, Pebbair Mandal, Wanaparthy District, Telangana. The licence grants the company authorization to produce approximately 4.4 million Bulk Litres (BL) of malt spirits per annum, subject to compliance with prescribed terms and applicable Telangana Excise laws.
Tata Communications Ltd. said its Canadian subsidiary Tata Communications (Canada) Ltd and the Canada Revenue Agency have reached an agreement in principle to settle tax claims related to income from the subsidiary’s international telecommunications services. The Canada Revenue Agency had raised claims for taxes on income from Tata Communications Canada’s international telecommunications services and support services for its signalling business following audits. The company already informed exchanges in June 2025 that the Canadian subsidiary and the Canada Revenue Agency had reached an agreement in principle to settle claims related to the signalling business.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) will invest around ₹27,000 crore to establish a greenfield shipbuilding cluster at Dighi in Raigad district, in a move expected to generate 90,000 jobs, the Maharashtra government said on Tuesday (September 15). MDL signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with National Shipbuilding and Heavy Industries Park Maharashtra Ltd (NSHIPML) in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, an official release issued here said.
