The stock was trading near the day’s high at ₹721 at 10.32 am, after opening largely flat at ₹715.25, which was also the day’s low. The stock’s recent movement comes after it hit a 52-week low of ₹681.90 on September 11.

Trading activity

Sell quantity outnumbered buy quantity during the trade. About 68.97 per cent, or 20,85,759 units, were sold, while 31.03 per cent, or 9,38,506 units, were bought.

Traded volume stood at 47.14 lakh shares, while traded value was ₹339.14 crore. HDFC Bank’s market capitalisation stood at ₹11.11 lakh crore.

The stock’s adjusted P/E ratio stood at 13.72.



Stock performance

HDFC Bank shares delivered absolute returns of 1.87 per cent over the week. The stock declined 0.21 per cent over the month, while its YTD decline stood at 27.21 per cent.

Share allotment

HDFC Bank recently allotted 25,21,106 equity shares to employees following the exercise of options/RSUs under its Employee Stock Options Schemes (ESOS).

Following the allotment, the bank’s paid-up share capital increased from 15,41,41,79,062 equity shares of ₹1 each to 15,41,67,00,168 equity shares of ₹1 each.
