Jindal Supreme India, SS Retail, Hero Motors IPOs close today; Jindal leads IPO rush

The of Jindal Supreme India, SS Retail and Hero Motors are closing for subscription today, with all three issues receiving strong bids.

Jindal Supreme India received the strongest demand, with its IPO subscribed 117.69 times by 2.20 pm, followed by SS Retail at 44.79 times by 2.23 pm and Hero Motors at 5.68 times by 2.23 pm.

Jindal Supreme India’s QIB portion was subscribed 28.47 times, while the NII and retail portions were subscribed 245.62 times and 113.84 times, respectively.

SS Retail’s QIB portion was subscribed 41.02 times, NII portion 100.82 times, retail portion 26.14 times and employee portion 1.94 times.

Hero Motors’ QIB portion was subscribed 0.81 times, while the NII and retail portions were subscribed 8.00 times and 7.48 times, respectively.

Jindal Supreme India IPO

Jindal Supreme India’s IPO had a price band of ₹88-93 per share. The issue comprised a fresh issue and an offer-for-sale component. Current issue details put the total issue size at about ₹124.88 crore, with 1.34 crore shares offered.



The IPO comprises a fresh issue of 1.07 crore equity shares, aggregating to nearly ₹100 crore at the upper end of the price band, along with an Offer-for-Sale (OFS) of 26.86 lakh shares, worth about ₹25 crore, by promoter group entity VVJ Enterprise Pvt Ltd.

The proceeds from the fresh issue will be used for payment of debt and general corporate purposes.

SS Retail IPO

SS Retail’s IPO is a ₹500-crore book-built issue, comprising a fresh issue of ₹360 crore and an offer for sale of ₹140 crore. The price band is ₹403-424 per share, while the minimum bid lot is 35 shares.

Hero Motors IPO

Hero Motors’ IPO is worth ₹1,000 crore and comprises a fresh issue of ₹600 crore and an offer for sale of ₹400 crore. The price band is ₹79-84 per share.

Of the fresh issue proceeds, ₹190 crore will be used for repayment or prepayment of borrowings, while ₹200 crore will be used to purchase equipment for capacity expansion at the company’s Gautam Buddha Nagar facility. The remaining proceeds will be used for inorganic growth, strategic initiatives and general corporate purposes.

Hero Motors raised ₹300 crore through its anchor book ahead of the IPO.

Shares are scheduled to list on September 23.
