ACME Solar adds 8 MW to Gujarat wind project, takes capacity to 52 MW

has commissioned an additional 8 MW at its wind power project in Surendranagar, , bringing the facility’s operational capacity to 52 MW out of a planned 100 MW. The commissioning, completed through subsidiary ACME Eco Clean Energy, was witnessed by officials from GEDA and PGVCL on December 17, with formal certification expected soon.

This marks the third phase of the project, following earlier commissioning of 44 MW. The addition raises ACME Solar’s total operational capacity to 2,942 MW across its renewable energy portfolio.

The wind project is being developed in phases using SANY’s 4 MW turbines, with construction handled by ACME’s in-house EPC division. Power Finance Corporation has provided financing for the development.

Electricity generated from the facility will be sold under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, ensuring long-term revenue visibility for the project.

ACME Solar operates as an integrated renewable energy company with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, storage, and hybrid solutions. Beyond its operational capacity of 2,942 MW, the company has 4,578 MW under construction, including approximately 15 GWh of battery energy storage systems. The company maintains in-house capabilities for engineering, procurement, construction, and operations and maintenance of its facilities.

The shares of Acme Solar Holdings Limited were trading on the today at ₹232.09, up by ₹1.17 or 0.51 per cent at 2.05 pm.
