ACME Solar commissions first phase of Gujarat wind project

has commissioned the first phase of its maiden wind power project in , adding 26.4 MW to India’s capacity. The project, located in Shapar, represents the initial phase of a larger 50 MW wind facility called ACME Pokhran that will be completed in stages.

The shares of ACME Solar Holdings Limited were trading at ₹254.05, up by ₹7.96 or 3.23 per cent on the NSE today at 1:25 pm.

The commissioning increases ACME Solar’s total operational capacity from 2,705 MW to 2,731.4 MW. The company selected the Shapar location due to Gujarat’s high wind resources, positioning the project to contribute significantly to India’s renewable energy targets.

ACME Solar financed the project through Power Finance Corporation and handled construction through its in-house engineering, procurement and construction division. The facility uses Envision 3.3 MW turbines and connects to the grid through a dedicated 220 kV transmission line to Shapar sub-station.

The project will share infrastructure with another ACME Solar wind project currently under construction. That 100 MW facility is in advanced stages of development at the same location.

Power generated from the commissioned project will be sold under a 25-year power purchase agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited.



ACME Solar Holdings operates as an integrated renewable energy company with a diversified portfolio totaling 6,970 MW across solar, wind, and hybrid technologies. The company has 2,731.4 MW of operational capacity and another 4,238.6 MW in various implementation stages.
