Aye Finance AUM jumps 28% to ₹7,329 crore in Q1 FY27; stock slips 5%

reported a 28 per cent year-on-year rise in Assets Under Management (AUM) to ₹7,329 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, up from ₹5,721 crore in Q1 FY26. Despite the strong annual performance, the stock fell 5.40 per cent to ₹164.99 on Tuesday, dragged by softer sequential numbers.

Disbursements for the quarter stood at ₹1,219 crore, a 22 per cent increase year-on-year, though they declined sharply by 26 per cent compared to ₹1,655 crore in Q4 FY26. New borrower additions also fell 21 per cent sequentially to 44,736, even as they were 38 per cent higher than the same quarter last year. Total borrowers rose 18 per cent year-on-year to 6,70,570.

Asset quality showed marginal improvement. Gross Non-Performing Assets (GNPA) fell 20 basis points to 4.57 per cent from 4.77 per cent in Q4 FY26. PAR X, which captures total overdues across all buckets, stood at 7.08 per cent, down from 7.96 per cent a year ago but slightly higher than the 6.88 per cent reported in Q4 FY26.

On the productivity front, the company’s AUM per employee improved 12 per cent year-on-year to ₹0.67 crore, with headcount growing at a slower 14 per cent to 10,891 employees. Collection efficiency on non-overdue accounts remained stable at 99.2 per cent for Q1 FY27.

Management stated it expects asset quality improvement to accelerate through FY27. The company listed on Indian exchanges on February 16, 2026, and carries a total market capitalisation of approximately ₹4,072 crore. The stock touched a 52-week high of ₹184.80 just five days ago on July 2, making Tuesday’s decline notable.
