reported a provisional and unaudited turnover of approximately ₹26,750 crore for the financial year 2025-26, the Navratna defence public sector undertaking announced on Wednesday. The figure marks a 16.2 per cent rise over the previous year’s turnover of ₹23,024 crore.
Export sales came in at around $141.9 million for FY26, up 33.65 per cent from $106.17 million in the prior year — signalling growing international demand for BEL’s defence electronics.
On the orders front, BEL secured new business worth ₹30,000 crore during the fiscal year, including export orders of USD 346 million. Major defence contracts included avionics for the Light Combat Aircraft, mountain radars, electronic warfare suites for helicopters, air defence radars, and fire control systems for tanks. On the non-defence side, the company won orders for IT infrastructure at AIIMS hospitals, airport surveillance radars, and electronic voting machines. The company’s total order book as of April 1, 2026 stood at approximately ₹74,000 crore, including an export order book of USD 495 million.
Manoj Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, said the year’s geopolitical developments underscored the need for self-reliance in strategic sectors. He added that BEL was focusing on reducing import dependency while investing in future technologies including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and autonomous platforms.
BEL shares on the NSE were trading at ₹424.00 as of 12.10 pm on Wednesday, up ₹23.35 or 5.83 per cent from the previous close of ₹400.65, touching an intraday high of ₹430.20.
The results are provisional and unaudited; audited figures are expected at a later date.
