Cyient reshuffles top leadership; stock falls 2.3%

on Wednesday named Prabhakar Atla as Chief Operating Officer and Shrinivas Kulkarni as Chief Financial Officer, effective April 1, 2026. The company describes the changes as part of its “next phase of organizational evolution.”

Atla, who currently serves as CFO, moves laterally into the COO role after more than two decades with the company.

In his new position, he will oversee delivery operations, talent development, and client experience. Kulkarni, who most recently held the CFO post at Cyient’s subsidiary Cyient DLM, steps up to lead the parent company’s global finance function, covering financial strategy, investor relations, and business finance.

CEO Sukamal Banerjee framed both appointments as internal promotions anchored in institutional knowledge, signalling continuity rather than an outside hire strategy.

Cyient shares on were trading at ₹878.50 as of 12.02 PM on Wednesday, down ₹21.00 or 2.33 per cent from the previous close of ₹899.50. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹907.50 before sliding to a low of ₹877.50.

The leadership reshuffle comes as Cyient pursues what it describes as an AI-led growth strategy under its “Embracing Intelligence” operating framework. The company serves over 300 global customers and counts itself among engineering services providers to 30 per cent of the world’s top 100 innovators.



Cyient was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Madhapur, Hyderabad. The new leadership structure takes effect at the start of the next financial year quarter on April 1.
