Godrej Agrovet crosses ₹10,000 crore revenue in FY26, posts record profit

Godrej Agrovet Limited (GAVL) reported its strongest financial performance in company history for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, with consolidated revenues crossing ₹10,233 crore — a 9.1 per cent increase over the previous year. Profit after tax rose 13.9 per cent to ₹440 crore on an underlying basis, while as-reported PAT came in at ₹445 crore, up 10.4 per cent year-on-year.

Profit before tax (excluding non-recurring items) grew 17.2 per cent to ₹569 crore. EBITDA on the same basis rose 10.8 per cent to ₹936 crore, with margins holding broadly steady at 9.1 per cent.

The standout performer was the Oil Palm business, which posted segment profit growth of nearly 68 per cent year-on-year to ₹384 crore, driven by double-digit volume growth, improved oil extraction ratios, and favourable palm kernel oil prices — which surged 46.7 per cent to ₹2,14,754 per metric tonne.

Animal Nutrition, the company’s largest revenue segment at 46 per cent of total, delivered volume growth of 12 per cent for the full year, anchored by an 18 per cent jump in cattle feed volumes. Segment profit rose 19.3 per cent to ₹347 crore.

Not all segments fared well. The Crop Care business saw segment profit fall sharply by 27.2 per cent to ₹224 crore amid adverse weather, acreage declines, regulatory disruptions, and channel inventory build-up. Creamline Dairy’s EBITDA dropped 33 per cent to ₹53 crore, squeezed by elevated milk procurement prices while revenues remained flat.

Subsidiary Astec LifeSciences turned around meaningfully, achieving near-EBITDA break-even in FY26 after posting losses of ₹61 crore at the EBITDA level in FY25. Revenue grew 17.5 per cent to ₹448 crore.

On the balance sheet, the company sharply reduced net working capital from 39 days in FY25 to 25 days, helping lift return on capital employed to 20 per cent from 16 per cent a year earlier.

For Q4 FY26 specifically, as-reported PAT surged 54.7 per cent to ₹102 crore, partly aided by a ₹34 crore one-time gain on land sale.
