Godrej Industries group signs pact to invest ₹20,000 crore in Haryana state

Godrej Industries group on Monday said it ​has signed a pact with the government ‌of Haryana to invest ‌₹20,000 crore ($2.09 billion) in the ⁠northern state, expanding its presence in the region.

The group has signed a memorandum of understanding ‌with the state government with the investment expected to create around 40,000 ‌jobs.

Godrej Industries Group, which operates ‌across ⁠consumer goods, real estate and ⁠financial services, has invested about 12,000 crore in Haryana so far and employs around 9,000 people ​in the state. ‌The group posted revenue of $7.2 billion in fiscal 2026.

Godrej Properties, the group’s real estate arm, will be a key ‌driver of the investment and ​plans to deploy a further 16,000 crore in Haryana by ⁠fiscal 2028, taking its total investment in the state to around 27,000 crore.

Godrej Ventures, the group’s real estate private equity business, plans to invest another 3,500 crore in office infrastructure in Gurugram. The proposed investment is expected to generate more than ‌30,000 direct and indirect jobs, it said.

“Haryana ​has emerged as an important growth driver for the Godrej Industries Group,” ⁠Chairperson Pirojsha Godrej said, adding that the ⁠group sees the region as a market where it can continue ‌to invest for the long term.
