Lemon Tree Hotels signs new property in Nepal’s Simara

In a regulatory filing, the company told the that it has signed Lemon Tree Hotel, Simara, Nepal, which will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, its wholly owned subsidiary.

With this addition, the company’s portfolio in Nepal will expand to seven properties, including two operational hotels and five upcoming projects, underscoring its focus on strengthening its footprint across gateway cities and transit-driven markets.

Simara, located just 2 km from the airport, is emerging as a key commercial and connectivity hub, linking Nepal’s industrial regions with eco-tourism destinations. The company said the new hotel is strategically positioned to cater to growing demand for branded and reliable hospitality infrastructure as the country’s tourism sector evolves.

The upcoming hotel will feature 98 rooms and is designed to serve both business and leisure travellers. It will include a multi-cuisine restaurant, lounge, banquet and conference facilities, along with wellness amenities such as a swimming pool, spa and fitness centre.

Commenting on the development, Neelendra Singh, Managing Director and CEO of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd, said Nepal remains a structurally attractive market where demand is expanding beyond traditional tourist destinations into transit-led and emerging urban centres.



Shares on Thursday closed flat on the National Stock Exchange at ₹108.24.
