Mahindra, Hyundai, JSW Motor report sales growth in March

Utility vehicles maker, Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Wednesday said that its domestic wholesales (dispatches to dealers) in March stood at 60,272 vehicles, a growth of 25 per cent year-on-year (YoY) as compared with 48,048 units in the same month last year.

For the whole financial year (FY2025-26), the domestic dispatches grew by 20 per cent YoY to 6,60,276 units as compared with 5,51,487 vehicles in FY2024-25.

In the light commercial vehicles (LCVs) segment, the domestic sales for the month stood at 24,928, a growth of 11 per cent YoY as compared with 22,488 units in March 2025. The financial year concluded with 2,89,597 LCVs, delivering robust YoY growth of 13 per cent as compared with 2,56,055 units in FY2024-25.

“The financial year ended on a very positive note, with Mahindra clocking its highest-ever volumes in both SUVs and LCVs segments, a significant milestone for the company. In March, we achieved SUV sales of 60,272 units, a growth of 25 per cent and LCV sales of 24,928 units, a growth of 11 per cent YoY. Total vehicle sales stood at 99,969 units, a 21 per cent YoY growth,” Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer, Automotive Division, M&M, said.

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) said it recorded domestic wholesales of 55,064 units, a highest-ever domestic sales for any March with 6.3 per cent YoY growth as compared with 51,820 units in March 2025.

“Continuing the momentum gained in 2026, we have achieved highest-ever quarterly domestic sales of 1,66,578 units in Q4 FY2025-26. While we stay mindful of the prevailing geopolitical uncertainties, Hyundai Motor India is well-prepared for a strong FY2026–27, delivering aspirational, connected and innovative products, along with unmatched customer experience and pride of ownership,” Tarun Garg, Managing Director and CEO, HMIL, said.



Similarly, JSW MG Motor India recorded 19 per cent YoY growth in March 2026 sales with 6,528 wholesale units as compared with 5,500 units in the same month in 2025.
