Ola Electric staged a sharp recovery in March, reclaiming the fifth position in the electric two-wheeler (E2W) market with sales of 9,496 units, a significant jump from the 3,973 units it recorded in February, as per data from data from Vahan.
Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Ola Electric, took to X to and said “Closed March with 1,000+ daily orders as demand surged. 10,000+ registrations, 150%+ MoM growth. Market share up. Playing to our strengths and winning back customer trust! We’ll reclaim leadership soon — thanks to our customers,” he said.
However, the company still has ground to cover. TVS, which has held the top spot since last year, recorded a 47% month-on-month increase in sales in March to 46,859 units. Bajaj followed in second place with E2W sales growing 68% MoM to approximately 43,000 units. Ather Energy, in third, posted a 19% uptick in monthly sales to 33,600 units.
Hero MotoCorp rounded out the fourth with a near 59% jump in sales to 19,764 units, up from 12,597 units in February.
Ola Electric’s recovery has been aided by an aggressive discounting strategy. The company launched its #EndICEAge campaign, bringing entry prices down to ₹49,999, backed by a Service Trust Guarantee, a Buyback Guarantee, and benefits of up to ₹50,000. Adding festive momentum to its sales push, the company also rolled out its Navratri Mahotsav, a limited-period campaign offering benefits of over ₹30,000 across its S1 scooter and Roadster motorcycle portfolio.
