The board of has approved a Scheme of Arrangement involving Sapphire Foods India Ltd. Pursuant to the Scheme, with effect from the Appointed Date (defined in the Scheme as opening hours of April 1, 2026), Sapphire Foods will amalgamate with Devyani International. Upon the Scheme becoming effective and in consideration of the amalgamation, Devyani International will issue and allot 177 shares for every 100 shares of Sapphire.

Vodafone Idea (VIL) has received a GST penalty order of about Rs 638 crore from the Office of the Additional Commissioner, Central Goods and Services Tax, Ahmedabad. In a statutory filing, Vodafone Idea said it disagrees with the order and will take legal action. Eternal (formerly known as Zomato) Founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal on Thursday said that Zomato and Blinkit delivered more than 75 lakh orders on New Year’s Eve, an all-time high. He said that the platforms remained unaffected by calls for a strike. Britannia Industries has received an order from the Office of the Principal Commissioner of CGST & Central Excise, Chennai North Commissionerate, Tamil Nadu. According to the disclosure, the order covers six financial years from FY 2018–19 to FY 2023–24 and alleges incorrect availment of input tax credit. The tax demanded amounts to RS 108.50 crore, along with an equivalent penalty, in addition to applicable interest.
