THINK Gas, a leading player in India’s City Gas Distribution (CGD) busines, has introduced a GIS-enabled Integrated Network Availability platform at ‘Energy Security – Driving India’s Next Wave of Gas Demand,’ hosted by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB). This was introduced in the presence of AK Tiwari and Jayanta Das, Members, PNGRB, along with Abhilesh Gupta, Managing Director & CEO, THINK Gas.
The platform enables customers to instantly check the availability of PNG connections in their locality and apply seamlessly, simplifying access to Piped Natural Gas (PNG) amid rising demand.
Once the application is submitted and documentation is verified, PNG connections will be provided within 30 days. In areas where PNG is not yet available, customers can register their interest by submitting contact details, enabling the THINK Gas team to proactively reach out as infrastructure expands, the release said.
Through the THINK Gas website, customers can directly access the GIS-enabled registration interface. The platform allows users to search their location via address, latitude/longitude, or by simply pinning their location on a map. With a single click on the “Check Availability” option, users can instantly view PNG service status in their area and proceed with the application process, the release said.
Abhilesh Gupta, Managing Director & CEO, THINK Gas, in the release said by simplifying the PNG connection journey and enabling greater transparency and convenience, this initiative marks a significant step in supporting India’s transition towards a gas-based economy.
